So why are we in this confused place? Of course, there are a number of instigating factors that we can all point to.

It's easy to point to the general problem of human sin and the need for redemption in Christ. It's easy to point to the abandonment of the culture that the church has engaged in for the last generation, hoping more for escape from the world through the rapture than creating a culture of Christ.

It's easy to point to the power of secular media and propaganda, liberal news organizations like CNN, MSNBC, Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, and others, sell their worldview and pump it into the homes and phones of everyone in our culture.

However, there is a foundational reason as to why many in this current generation think the thoughts that they do.

Christian family spends less than 30 minutes per week discussing spiritual matters. Parents who think that a few conversations centered around what did you learn today need to be honest about the usual answer to that question, which is nothing.

If you can't say amen, say ouch, right? Now, if every student will ultimately become like his teacher, then we need to ask what that looks like when this man is the teacher.

Now, unfortunately, many Christians have bought into the fiction that education can be neutral.

But it's not. Because nobody is neutral, and nothing in the world that God made can be approached from neutrality.

Every human being approaches the world with a particular worldview. It's the lens and fundamental assumptions through which we all view the world.

Now, we all have a view of origins, reality, logic, and how we should live our lives. Some of it was directly taught to us.

Some of it happened because we thought through something and we changed our minds. Some of it was just caught.

Some of it we got from our families. Some got it through church and the Bible. And some got it from Macklemore and Lady Gaga.

Now, Jesus said, whoever is not with me is against me. And the Bible teaches that the fear of the

Lord is the beginning of knowledge. In fact, the biblical worldview teaches that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are found in Christ.

Now, what's that mean? It means that any knowledge that is not founded on Christ is so -called knowledge and is, in fact, opposed to Him.

The myth of neutrality. That's what we have to grapple with when we are talking about education.

State -run public school education is actually a fairly recent comer in American history, believe it or not.

Before that, education was private and largely dominated by the Christian church. In fact, lest you be tempted to think that homeschooling is for dummies, socially awkward weirdos, and homeschooled mouth -breathers, some of the greatest minds in history were not part of the secular, state -run, anti -Christian public school education system.

This includes Albert Einstein, Blaise Pascal, Booker T. Washington, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, John Jay, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison, and Leonardo da

Now, I want to present a very humble, respectful word here. Unbelievers in the

West have attempted to destroy God's order of the human family. We all know that. Destruction of marriage, destruction of the family.

They teach us that having a lot of kids is a curse. And unbelievers teach that if you have a kid and you don't want it, kill it.

Now, when we consider the fact that our current generation seeks to destroy the family and children and the fact that Christians are the ones having all of the children in our culture and leading the way in adopting children, then why is it that the predominant worldview in our culture and our generation is secular humanism?

Answer? Education. Christians are having all the children and then we are handing them over to the secular state to be discipled.

Now, I want to offer you guys a few points as to why I want to humbly suggest, as many Christian leaders have, a

Christian exodus from the humanistic, worldview -loving education system of our day.

Firstly, public schools specifically teach a worldview that is antithetical to the biblical worldview.

If the school system was a gym teacher, Christianity would be the first kid hit in dodgeball.

By the gym teacher. Secondly, public schools indoctrinate children with a perspective on origins, ethics, art, truth, math, logic, and history that is devoid of Christ.

Thirdly, public schools are a fairly recent thing in American history. As I said, before that education was private and largely dominated by Christians.

And way before that, people taught kids who were human and not fish because unlike public school teaching,

Darwinian evolution was never a thing. Fourthly, public schools are doing discipleship, pure and simple.

That's the role of the parents and the church, not the schools. Instead of allowing public schools to talk so much, it's time to paraphrase the iconic movie,

Mean Girls, public school doesn't even go here. Fifthly, no parent can make up for the classroom hours in a humanistic system at home.

No parent is spending 30 plus hours a week specifically instructing their children in the biblical view of the subjects their children are learning in school.

Sixthly, nowhere in scripture do we have any justification for giving our children to the state to be indoctrinated in an effort to send our children as missionaries to the school system.

I contend that our kids can be missionaries without having them delivered to the state. And seventhly, funding for public schools is done through unjust, coercive taxation.

No American can truly own property due to public schools. This is a very unjust and a sinful foundation as a source of funding.

Those are my seven points, guys. Now I just want to say

I recognize as I say all this that I have a lot of brothers and sisters in Christ that are listening to this right now and you have strong disagreements with me.

I want to just say in confession, I used to be the most hostile, and I mean antagonistic and hostile person towards Christian schools and homeschooling.

It was after a time where I began to study what the Bible has to say about knowledge, about neutrality, about Christ as a foundation of everything that I began to have myself worked on.

And I want to say that if we want to see dramatic change in a generation, of course it has to come first and foremost with consistency and courage and humble boldness from all of us in the culture.

Of course it has to be the gospel. But in a real practical sense, we can't anticipate winning the culture to Christ if we keep delivering our children over to a secular, humanist, state -run public school education system that's going to indoctrinate them in an antithetical worldview from what we're teaching them at home.

Neutrality is a myth. When we learn that, we'll learn to view the world in the right way, the way that Christ calls us to.

That is one of the pillars that needs to change in terms of if we want this culture to change from a culture of death to a culture of life, we have to focus on our children and our children's children.
