Being Christian and Going Woke?
A clip from this week's episode where Andrew Rappaport and I ask what does it mean to go woke. Is this important to being a Christian? Is there something better than "going woke"?
May this clip expose the false teaching entering the church and bring glory to God.

- I want to apply this to make it practical for women who are listening. This affects your, this is going to affect your church and we already see it.
- 00:09
- And I'm sure some people listening to this have already heard the racial reconciliation and definitely has been brought in through a women's ministry and certain, um, discipleship quote unquote tools, such as be the bridge and stuff like that.
- 00:25
- And if gathering, which I am not, I think it's non -denominational because it reaches mostly from what
- 00:34
- I've seen Calvary chapel, um, which is non did not, well, there are denomination on their own, but, um, but you see it all through Southern Baptist as well.
- 00:45
- Um, so in, in practically looking at this, if you think that your church is not going to be affected and you're listening to this, most likely it is somehow it's going to come in and, and, and touch you.
- 01:00
- And even if it's not through your church, you can, now I'm showing that you, since if you are connected with the, if gathering or your church and your woman, um, you're a woman discipling, you is connected with the, if gathering it's coming in through even a totally separate parachurch ministry.
- 01:22
- So it's infiltrating that way as well. So, okay. Now what are some, okay.
- 01:31
- So they use the term going woke, right? We wouldn't use the term going woke, but wokeness being woke.
- 01:40
- If you do a study on that, but maybe what I should ask you is what does it mean to go woke first? And then
- 01:46
- I talk about how it might come in a language, my woke language might come in through women's ministry.
- 01:53
- I want to tie that in together. Yeah. So being woke is the idea of waking up to realizing that there's a systemic racism in the country.
- 02:01
- That's, that's the idea of that they have. So just so I'm putting it down to my mentality is, um, if you're a white woman, going woke would be opening my eyes to one, my white superiority and two, my, um, maybe oppression from patriarchy and stuff like that.
- 02:26
- Correct. But you also have to recognize that, oh, because you are Christian, you lose all of your status.
- 02:34
- Well, is that because I am superior? It makes me even more superior? If you're a Christian, you're, you're more superior than anyone else.
- 02:41
- Okay. That's, that's the idea. So what you have is if you're, if you're a white woman, because you're a woman, you should get extra points.
- 02:50
- This is what's called intersectionality. They would argue that you, you would get extra because you're, you're oppressed because you're a woman, because men oppress you.
- 03:00
- Well, the reality is, is that once they, once you're a Christian, they go, okay, that's all gone.
- 03:06
- Like a Christian, just... Okay. Here's something too on Just Be The Bridge opens up the very first chapter.
- 03:13
- She tells white people to just shut up and listen. She doesn't even say shut up, but she's like, we have to be humble enough to just let everybody else speak.
- 03:22
- If you're a white person, you'll let the colored people speak and you just listen. So I think that's a little bit like that.
- 03:32
- That's your standpoint epistemology and your intersectionality saying that these people, because they're colored and they're more oppressed, you have to be quiet because you hold all the superiority.
- 03:49
- So it's now time for you to shut up. Yeah. And for the Christian, the claim is, well, every
- 03:55
- Christian has all the superiority because this is, yeah, they're trying to force,
- 04:01
- I mean, we're supposedly trying to force our religion on people. I don't remember any law that requires everyone to go to church on Sunday.
- 04:09
- I don't remember the law, but, you know, and for years abortion was illegal and that homosexuality is legal.
- 04:17
- If we were a Christian nation, they would still be illegal. Yeah, exactly.
- 04:23
- So, you know, I hate to apply, you know, like actual critical thinking, you know, to these discussions because, you know,
- 04:32
- I know it breaks down once we do that. But, uh, yeah. So, but that's the reality is you have to realize that I do use the term woke.
- 04:44
- I think that people wake up to the, to what really is going on with CRT, that it is cultural racism training.
- 04:52
- And when they wake up to that and realize ways, that's when they really wake up. The true way we wake up though, is we wake up to our sin nature.
- 05:00
- We wake up to the fact that we're, we're dead in our sins. We are in, not in a right state with God.
- 05:06
- And when we're really woke, it's when we wake up to the fact that Jesus Christ, almighty God came to earth as a human being, died on a cross as a payment for our sin, that we could be set free,
- 05:16
- I was woke. I woke up to the fact that I was a sinner deserving God's wrath for eternity and God made a way of escape.
- 05:25
- God paid the fine that I owe. Yeah. That is what biblical wokeness would be.
- 05:31
- And that's not the message being preached by churches, by the if gathering. It's not the message of where we can all be one in Christ.
- 05:41
- We can all come to Christ and live. No, they're teaching. No, you can't.
- 05:47
- You need these analytic tools to be right with your, your neighbor. Right. Well, go through the scriptures and see what does
- 05:56
- God say more is more important being right with God or right with your neighbor with the first and greatest commandment is love the
- 06:02
- Lord, your God. And second is love your neighbor. So loving your neighbor comes second in God's mind.
- 06:09
- In fact, he even says, if you don't love him, he, he, you, it's, it's better that you, you don't have your family members, he's going to cause division with your family even because it's more important to be right with God.
- 06:22
- So you've got to make the decision. What's going to be more important being right with God or right with men? The big, the easy way to understand the difference between CRT and the biblical gospel is the biblical gospel says we got to get right with God, biblical wokeness, spiritual wokeness, versus being right with men, which is being in the world, not of the world.
- 06:45
- Yeah. And that speaks against it. And that's why I say you can't, you can't marry this with the church because it's antithetical to the
