He Mocks God on Live TV, then THIS Happens

We are told that we are in the midst of a spiritual war.

Well, I mean, the real truth is those people are idiots.

The Apostle Paul tells us that, you know, we're not waging war according to the flesh, right?

There's always going to be people who are afraid and unaware and trying to hold on to what was before. But those people die off like dinosaurs. And so, you know, I think the goal is to pay them no mind, march forward and embrace the growth that makes us human.

But the weapons of our warfare are spiritual weapons because we are engaged in a spiritual war.

I came across a theory that deviates from Darwin's and I believe that. I just found it in a dusty old book in a library. It's called the Bible.

Spiritual Warfare and the Apostle Paul’s Teaching

So we are in the midst of a spiritual war. Oprah, Stephen, what's up? Hey!

Hey, God, it's God, everybody. Give it up for the Lord. Sorry about this, Oprah. I apologize. I apologize. God stops by every once in a while. He's a fan. Can I help you, Lord? I'm kind of in the middle of talking to somebody important.

Oh, I know, Stephen.

I'm a huge fan. Wow, Oprah knows who I am? I can't wait to tell Jesus.

But is there, you know, something you'd like to tell Oprah?

Oh, yeah. I hear thou seekest a sign? Well, is this clear enough? And it's manifesting itself right now in a cultural war.

We'll convert your children. We'll make them tolerant and fair.

There is a war in the marketplace of ideas. It's like, what is a woman? Can you tell me what a woman is?

No, I can't. Because it's not for me to say. Womanhood looks different for everybody. What do you define a woman as?

An adult human female. There is a war over, really, there's a war over the history of our culture.

So the entire premise of the 1619 Project is that the legacy of slavery was not banished along with the institution of slavery in 1865. That slavery is one of the oldest institutions in our society. Right?

That's a battleground right now. 1776 has turned into 1619. Right? That's a war over how we define our origins.

Christianity, Cultural Hostility, and the Spiritual Battle for Truth

Throughout the entire world today, Christianity is hated more than any other religion. And specifically in Western cultures, it's considered inappropriate and racist to raise concerns about a religion like Islam, which explicitly condones violence and the oppression of women.

Yet it's considered wholly appropriate, even good, to attack Christianity and Christians with as much hostility as you want. From Chris Evans to Ricky Gervais to Stephen Colbert to Oprah, nothing is off limits concerning hating Christians or mocking the Christian God.

But Christians have not just been the object of Muslim hatred. Christians have been throughout the whole history of the church, the most hated and the most persecuted people in the world, particularly true Christians.

But even nominal Christians in name have been persecuted. Christians have been persecuted by many nations and many regimes throughout history. I won't drag you through all of it. We did a little of that last time, but go back to the 19th century and you will find that the Ottomans massacred about two and a half million Christians.

Go back to the 20th century and it's estimated that the Soviets killed half a million Christians and the Germans another quarter of a million. Christians have been persecuted by the tens of thousands all over the planet, from Madagascar to Spain, from Mexico to China, from Japan to India, from Germany to Russia, from France to all kinds of countries in the Middle East.

Why is this? The simple answer is given us in the text I just read to you. Our Lord explicitly predicts hatred from the world for Christians and even tells us why. But it should be obvious before we look at that text that Christianity is hated because it is true and the whole world lies in the lap of Satan who is a liar.

Christianity tells you the truth about everything, the truth about God, the truth about man, the truth about sin, the truth about time, the truth about eternity, the truth about creation, the truth about consummation, the truth about hell, the truth about heaven, the truth about sin, the truth about righteousness, truth about life, truth about death, truth about the afterlife.

Christianity tells the truth because the Bible tells the truth. Satan is a liar and he dominates the world kingdom, he and his demons. They are at war with God, they're at war with Christ, they're at war with the Holy Spirit, and they are at war therefore with the revelation of God which is the Bible.

Satan and his hosts are at war with the gospel. They're at war with the church.

Marxism, Identity Politics, and the Attack on Christianity

But besides claiming to be true, there is something else about Christianity that makes it so hated within Western cultures. In the West, modern activists have successfully convinced the culture to categorize people based upon the groups they belong to, rather than who they really are.

And these activists have largely convinced the culture that Christians belong to a group that is oppressive, and therefore inherently problematic, which means that it is actually a good thing to attack Christians, to seek to dismantle Christianity, and to minimize the influence of Christians in the culture.

And in the United States, those oppressors and that hegemony is white, male, heterosexual, cisgendered, able-bodied, native-born Christian. See for the Marxist, there is no objective morality. And Marxism is the enemy of religion.

Gramsci was very clear about this. Marx was very clear about this. Marx saw religion as the opiate of the masses. For Gramsci, socialism was that ideology that must and would eventually overthrow Christianity.

Christianity is the problem. Christianity was the problem in Europe. Christianity was the hegemonic power that kept people in check, and it was the hegemonic power that needed to be overthrown. There is an unbelievable.

Hypocrisy in the way that secularists attack Christians for speaking what they believe, and fighting for the justice they see taught by the Bible, while at the same time unashamedly arguing that what they are saying is absolutely true, and that their version of justice is the one that Christians should also be following.

They are basically doing the exact same thing Christians are doing, yet they believe they are the neutral and righteous ones, and Christians are.

The intolerant and immoral ones. Because now, in your legalistic self-righteousness, you look down your nose at other people, and you call them to join you in ticking off boxes, and declaring themselves righteous, because they do these things, and they don't do those things, and remain under the federal headship of Adam.

Completely oblivious, completely incapable of all good, completely averse to all righteousness, and yet holding yourselves up as paragons of.

Righteousness. Remember how self-righteous and smug Chris Evans was in calling Christians idiots, and confidently asserting that his views concerning same-sex relationships is definitely the correct view?

When Evans does this, he is applauded by the culture, as standing up to evil Christians, and fighting for truth and righteousness. But when Christians present their case for what God has revealed concerning human sexuality and marriage, they are attacked and labeled as Christian nationalists, whatever exactly that is, and what was.

Their pivot? Christian nationalism. And Christian nationalism, when you interrogate these ideas, Christian nationalism just begins to look like Christianity. If you have the audacity to believe that America is what it is, because we've been blessed by God, and have a Christian foundation, you're the problem.

If you believe that Americans ought to make laws that are in line with the laws of the God of the Bible, you're the problem. Because you are reinforcing the hegemonic power that the oppressor has used for all of these years to put himself in power, and everyone else in subjugation.

White Identity, Toxic Masculinity, and the Final Attack on the Christian Worldview

Our culture.

Is on an all-out offensive against multiple different groups of people. They.

Are attacking all white people. And to start this off, I want to draw your attention to the fact that I'm white. So just look at me for a moment, think about it, notice it. And part of being white is that is a very uncomfortable thing for me to do, and it's taken me many, many years to be able to draw people's attention to my race and see any significance in it.

They are attacking all males. It's an ad from Gillette, just out, not selling razors, but talking about what is now called toxic masculinity, and encouraging men to embrace the.

Principles of the Me Too movement. They are attacking heterosexuality. Look, in.

An Obama-Biden administration, there will be absolutely no distinction from a constitutional standpoint or a legal standpoint between a same-sex and a.

Heterosexual couple. But the culture's attack upon what it sees as the oppressors is not complete until it also attacks Christianity. Because everything about God's revealed moral law is utterly offensive to it.

That's why at.

The end of this train, always, no matter what the other boxcars are, the one on.

The end is Christianity. And because so much of the culture hates Christians and hates Christianity, many popular Christian pastors, in order to continue to be liked by the culture, do not boldly confront the culture with the truth about its sin and rebellion against God, but rather have become essentially indistinguishable from the world.

Why is it that a Christian pastor like Joel Osteen is accepted by cultural elites such as Oprah, who unashamedly advocates for homosexuality and the ending of pre-born life? You know what, God, it's not a.

Surprise to you. I know I'm a person of destiny. You breathed your life into me, so I'm gonna dig my heels in. I know I'm equipped, empowered, I'm well able. And why.

Does CNN grant Osteen positive and promotional interviews with people like.

Piers Morgan and Soledad O 'Brien? And I don't understand all those issues, and so, you know, I try to stick on the issues that I do understand. And I know this, I'm for everybody. I'm not for pushing people down.

Obviously, I've watched the story on bullying and stuff, other things like that, that comes from it. So I don't know where the fine line is, but I do try to stay in my lane and,.

You know, lift people's spirits. How can someone like T .D. Jakes have such a positive relationship with the Huffington Post, which is very blatantly.

Anti-Bible and anti-Christian? And all gay people are not the same. The types of relationships that are afforded are based on the types of people in each individual case. And LGBTs of all types and sorts have to find a household of worship that reflects what your views are and what you believe like anybody.

Else. Instead of boldly proclaiming all that Scripture clearly teaches about sin, human sexuality, and salvation through faith alone in Christ alone, so many supposedly Christian pastors like Joel Osteen and T .D. Jakes have decided to tiptoe around important issues to be accepted by the culture.

Romans chapter one denounces giving any kind of approval to those who practice sin. It says, though they know God's righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

We need to tell the culture the truth about sin, because without a proper understanding of sin, there is no true salvation. But one of.

The most unthinkable aspects of the homosexual lifestyle is the devastation that individuals are heaping upon one another in the name of love. And that's not.

Love. Love doesn't do this. But instead of telling the culture the truth about the terrible danger it is in because of its sin against a holy and righteous God, pastors like Osteen and Jake say things like, I just try to stay in my lane, and not all LGBTQ people are the same.

But as evidenced by the countless numbers of non-Christians who are completely unafraid to mock, attack, and insult Christians, we are in a spiritual war for truth. And if we let the non-Christians who hate God successfully intimidate and silence us, we are neglecting our duty to love others by telling them the most important truth they need to hear.

The truth about their sin and about the saving power of the gospel of Jesus.

Christ. The greatest battle in the world is the battle for the truth, because the truth is the most important thing in the world. It's more important than anything else to know the truth of God. It is the truth of God that saves.

It's the truth of God that sanctifies. It's the truth of God that directs us in our lives. It's the truth of God that leads us to heaven. It's the truth of God's Word that interprets every single issue in this world and in life for us.

Thank you so.
