- Now, is this sinful? Is it wrong? There are many that name the name of Christ that would say yes to that, and they would say that those who want to celebrate

- Christmas or celebrate the birth of Christ on December 25th are not only wrong, some will say they're in sin.

- Do we have scripture that speaks to this topic? Well, not directly, but we do have some scripture we can look at, because there was similar debate going on in the first century between those

- Christians who were raised Jewish and had a tradition of celebrating certain festivals and those that were

- Gentile and didn't have those festivals. Now, some of the Jewish people thought that those Gentiles, well, if you don't submit yourselves to these festivals, maybe you're not really saved.

- There was some debate there, and Paul addresses this in Colossians 2 .16,

- where he says, Therefore, let no one pass judgment on you in question of food and drink, whether regards to a festival or new moon or Sabbath.

- So he gives some reprieve on this, and basically says, look, let's not judge people, pass judgment on people, because they choose to celebrate a festival that others think there's no need to.
