- 06:55
- All right, good evening, everyone. If you would come indoors inside here and find a place and have a seat, we're going to get started with our service tonight.
- 07:06
- Welcome to our Christmas Eve service. I'm going to begin by reading from the Gospel of John, the first chapter.
- 07:12
- I'm going to read verses 1 through 5, and then verses 14 through 18. The Gospel of John, chapter 1.
- 07:18
- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.
- 07:24
- All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
- 07:30
- In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
- 07:37
- And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the
- 07:43
- Father, full of grace and truth. John testified about Him and cried out, saying, This was He of whom
- 07:48
- I said, He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me. For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.
- 07:56
- For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. No one has seen
- 08:02
- God at any time. The only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.
- 08:08
- Let's pray together. Our Father, we gather here together to celebrate the birth of Christ, the great miracle of the
- 08:15
- Incarnation, that the second person of the Holy Trinity took upon Himself flesh and came here to live a perfect life and to die in our stead.
- 08:22
- That is what Christmas is, and that is what we celebrate, and that is what we thank You for. We pray that tonight
- 08:28
- You would fill our hearts with love and wonder and joy and adoration toward the Lord Jesus Christ, whom we worship, whom we love, and whom we wait for from heaven.
- 08:37
- For it is in His name that we pray. Would you all stand? Joy to the earth!
- 09:17
- The Savior reigns! Again their songs employ
- 09:23
- The sounding joy, in joy,
- 09:45
- Ancient birth! Who sang creation's story,
- 10:28
- Now proclaim Messiah's birth. Come and worship, come and worship,
- 10:36
- Worship Christ, the newborn King.
- 10:42
- Shepherds in the fields abiding, Watching o 'er your flocks by night,
- 10:50
- God with man is now residing, Yonder shines the infant light.
- 10:59
- Come and worship, come and worship, Worship Christ, the newborn
- 11:06
- King. Saints before the altar bending,
- 11:13
- Watching long in hope and fear, Suddenly the
- 11:19
- Lord descending In His temple shall appear.
- 11:25
- Come and worship, come and worship, Worship Christ, the newborn
- 11:33
- King. He shall fill
- 11:41
- His Father's throne, Gather all the nations to Him, Every knee shall then bow down.
- 11:52
- Come and worship, come and worship, Worship Christ, the newborn
- 11:59
- King. You may be seated. Two shepherds living nearby,
- 12:54
- I saw it happen, Watching, afflicting,
- 13:32
- Singing peace unto men,
- 13:55
- On whom His favor ran. He said,
- 14:08
- Do not fear, Give joy to all men.
- 14:24
- I said, This is the sign,
- 14:40
- And I stole for a pen, Singing glory, glory, glory,
- 15:08
- Song to men, Let's go to,
- 15:46
- Let's see, And sitting by the knees,
- 16:11
- Hold this psalm. The little
- 18:07
- Lord Jesus Lay down with sweet head. The stars in the bright sky
- 18:14
- Look down where He lay. The little
- 18:20

- 18:28
- The cattle all The little
- 18:36
- Lord Jesus No crying, Lord Jesus, Look down from the sky
- 18:49
- And stay by my side. Lord Jesus, I ask
- 19:04
- Thee to stay Close by me for children
- 19:17
- In Thy tender care. I'll score heaven
- 19:30
- In Matthew chapter 1, it reads, Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows.
- 19:38
- When His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph before they came together, she was found to be with child by the
- 19:44
- Holy Spirit. And Joseph, her husband, being a righteous man and not wanting to disgrace her, planned to send her away secretly.
- 19:52
- But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take
- 20:01
- Mary as your wife, for the child who has been conceived in her is of the
- 20:06
- Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.
- 20:16
- Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet. Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a son, and they shall call
- 20:25
- His name Emmanuel, which translated means God with us. And Joseph awoke from his sleep and did as the angel of the
- 20:32
- Lord commanded him and took Mary as his wife, but kept her a virgin until she gave birth to a son, and he called
- 20:39
- His name Jesus. While by the sheep we watched at night

- 29:07
- How great our joy Joy, joy, joy Peace Why does this darkness feel so deep
- 29:20
- Why can't a weary spirit see God our darkest place
- 29:38
- God our searing depths of silent night
- 29:56
- Our Saviour on our mother's side
- 30:02
- Darkness trembled at this storm of hope for troubled hearts
- 30:16
- You came to make your blessings known
- 30:24
- And bear our curse of death alone You to share our suffering
- 30:35
- So in sorrow we could sing
- 30:43
- God's peace
- 31:04
- God's searing God's searing
- 32:14
- Would you please stand? One more time and then you get a break for a little bit.
- 32:36
- An unresting merry gentleman
- 32:44
- Let nothing be dismayed Remember Christ our
- 32:49
- Savior was born on Christmas day To save us all from Satan's power when we were gone astray.
- 32:58
- Oh, tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy.
- 33:04
- Oh, comfort and joy. In Bethlehem, in Israel, this blessed babe was born.
- 33:15
- And laid within a manger of Venus' blessed horn.
- 33:21
- The witch's brother Mary did nothing take in scorn. Oh, tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy.
- 33:31
- Oh, tidings of comfort and joy. Our only father, a blessed angel came.
- 33:43
- And unto certain shepherds brought tidings of the same.
- 33:48
- How glad in Bethlehem was born the Son of God by name. Oh, tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy.
- 33:59
- Oh, tidings of comfort and joy. Christmas day, where all love and sweet love is redeemed from sin and despair.
- 34:58
- I bow my head. There is no peace on earth,
- 35:03
- I said. For hey, there's strong and fast, the song of peace on earth.
- 35:11
- Good will flows forth loud and deep.
- 35:19
- God is born. Does he sleep? The royal peace on earth.
- 35:54
- Oh, look, the stars are brightly shining.
- 36:01
- There is the night of our dear Savior's birth.
- 36:10
- Long may the world, in singing and reclining, to hear the thrill and the song of His birth.
- 36:25
- A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices.
- 36:33
- For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
- 37:25
- Faith so bravely gave His cradle beside.
- 37:37
- So led by light are the stars so sweetly gleaming.
- 37:45
- They bring the wise men from glory. Chains shall
- 39:05
- He break, for the slave is my brother.
- 39:11
- And in His name all oppression shall cease.
- 39:18
- Sweet hymns of joy and grateful chorus raise thee.
- 39:25
- Let all with us praise His holy name.
