- Jesus went about in Galilee. He did not go into Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill him.

- Now the Jews' feast of booths was at hand, so his brothers said to him, Leave and go to Judea, that your disciples may see the works you are doing.

- For no one works in secret, if he seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, show yourself to the world.

- For not even his brothers believed in him. Jesus said to them, My time has not yet come, but your time is always here.

- After this saying, he remained in Galilee. But his brothers had gone up to the feast.

- He went up, not publicly, but in private. And those last two phrases are important.

- Not publicly, but in private. Jesus is not lying, because what his brothers wanted him to do, was to go and publicly, openly, expose who he was, and do the things he claimed to do.
