Well, so we're about to start our katana, and I just wanted to open us to a word of prayer if you guys understand this or anything.

I do want to say that while there is a performance aspect to the art that's here performing for you this morning, that is not our intent, that is not where our heart is, our heart is to worship.

Father God, we thank you for this time we have together. Thank you for the new blessings you're giving. Father, just allow us to sing your praises.

We love you, we thank you, we pray. A reading from Luke chapter 1, starting in verse 26.

In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called

The virgin's name was Mary, and the angel came to her and said, Rejoice, favored woman, the

Lord is with you. But she was deeply troubled by this statement, wondering what kind of greeting this should be.

Then the angel told her, Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.

Now listen, you will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will call his name Jesus.

Mary asked the angel, How can this be, since I have not been intimate with a man? The angel replied to her,

And while they were there the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to a firstborn son.

And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field. Keeping watch over the flock by night.

And an angel of the Lord appeared to them. And the glory of the Lord shone around them. And they were filled with great fear.

And the angel said to them, fear not. For behold I bring you good news of great joy.

That will be for all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David.
