That's two Saviors. There's only one. Right? So this is important.

But then it's none of that seems to be at all what Titus two was talking about. Okay. Okay.

Number one, one of the main themes that we see here in Titus is preach the gospel, which produces faith

But Titus would have been written before 2nd Timothy.

Titus chapter two, where he writes,.

Titus is one who is strong. Titus, as I said before, is a mature believer, and the apostle leaves him there, and one of the things that he wants him to do is to ensure that the church understands that in the day in which they live, with these false teachers and with the immorality and with the pagan heathenism that's around them, the idolatry and the false worship, and the out -of -control society in the day that he's living in, he wants to make sure, and he encourages in the teaching as he sends this letter to Titus, that he instructs the church that in all that they do, in all the ministry that they get involved in, one of the things that they need to be careful to maintain in their lives is godliness.

Titus chapter two, where he writes,.

So we go on here, Titus two seven, show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works.

Now let's go over verse two. Who can read verse two? Chapter two. Uh, Titus one verse two.

What is Titus to do? Rebuke them sharply. Of course, this plays a lot into Paul's very expressive statement that he used in verse 11 when he says, their mouths must be stopped. And remember, he's using the Greek terminology that comes from essentially muzzling the ox's.

Let's take a look at Galatians chapter two.

And that is shown to us in chapter two, verses 11 through 15.

He is at least on the short list for Paul, between him or Artemis, to go replace Titus.

I had mentioned this at the very beginning of Titus.

The book of Titus contains only three chapters. In chapter 2, Paul gives sound advice for Christian living. He says that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith and love and patience.

It's the two edged sword.

Here we have instructions that are given in Titus chapter two about doing that very thing.

And I will say this, we are only scratching the surface of this particular passage in Titus.

Number two, so number one was that you would know that you're saved.
