Jerusalem at that time had two pivotal points. It had Mount Moriah kind of in the north.

Mount Zion was kind of where David's palace was, and Mount Moriah was this really special place, and Solomon built the first temple on that place.

Israel was doing great under Solomon. They had a new church. They had the gold faucets.

was doing great. Well, Solomon dies, and immediately the descendants of those twelve tribes said, well, who's going to be king next?

And believe it or not, they started infighting over who was going to be the king.

They actually raided the capital. Oh, sorry, wrong history. They got together, and they started fighting each other.

As they got on the outskirts of the western part of Jerusalem, the Jews that were actually in Jerusalem defending that area, there was about 3 ,000 of them.

They had about 400 to 500 rifles. They had a few mortars, but they were very inaccurate.

They had a bus that they had welded boiler plates on with two guys sticking out the broom handles to make it look like it was a normal person.

That's it. That's all they had. That's it. The pan -Arabic army came from the west and started coming through the groves there on the lower areas of Jerusalem.
