John Hagee, well, he's got a huge budget and he's got some chops and as a result of it nobody falls for William Tapley's stuff and, you know, it looks like hundreds of thousands of Christians, well -meaning

So to kind of explain all of that, we're going to walk through John Hagee's teaching on the

Four Blood Moons from a series of sermons that he did, and we're not going to do the entire thing, but what we'll do is we'll walk through the main points so you can see what's going wrong with this teaching so that you can warn others, listen, if you've bought the book, go take it back, especially if you haven't written on it or highlighted anything, go take the book back and get a refund.

I will play so that you can kind of see what's going on. Here we go. Since time's beginning, man has looked to the heavens for divine guidance, but are we hearing what they say?

Yeah, that's called astrology. Uh -huh. For some, it's a message of hope, for others, of coming destruction.

Now let me just deconstruct this for a second. Do you know what a blood moon is? It's called a lunar eclipse.

If John Hagee had named his book The Coming Four Lunar Eclipses, it wouldn't have meant anything.

Now, stop. See, there's like the first real slippery thing. The Bible talks about signs in the heavens which

NASA has discovered? No. He's being really slippery there.

The Bible nowhere talks about signs in the heavens that are supposed to tell us regarding, you know, that NASA is supposed to discover, that supposedly they know all about.

He's going to constantly talk about NASA here because that creates the impression that, well, this is an authoritative space agency that's behind his prophetic reading.

No, it's not. Confined on Google on the internet.

The coming four blood moon. Now, I got to back that up. Yeah, that's right. He talks about NASA. Where did he get this from?

Supposedly NASA and Google. Okay. Yeah, yeah. It's like he got this information from pixie chick number 7390 or something like that.

But listen again. Your Bible's pleased to Joel the second chapter verses 30 and following as we began an exciting prophetic sermon series today entitled the coming four blood moons.

And this is how you do your biblical scholarship? The coming four blood moons points to a world shaking event that will happen between April 2014 and October 2015.

What does it mean? What is the prophetic significance? Is this the end of the age?

It will take us three sessions to get across. Let me introduce the four blood moons.

Please hear what I'm saying. God established the dates for all of the

Jewish feast. That's in your Bible. I'm saying that because I know as sure as God made a little green apples.

Some woman will go out of here and say, I heard John Hagee say the Lord is going to come on Passover, April 15th.

That's not what I said at all. Passover is established in the

Bible. NASA is saying there are going to be four blood moons with an eclipsed sun that will happen in sequential order on Passover, April 15th, 2014.

Yeah, it's funny because when you Google it, NASA does talk about four lunar eclipses.

Sukkot, which is October 8th, 2014, Nisan, which is

April, actually the date is going to be 3 -2015. This is the day, by the way, that the children of Israel were turned loose or were liberated from Egypt's bondage, and then

Passover, April the 4th, 2015, Sukkot, September 28th, 2015.

Now are you going to step out on your back porch and see these? No. If I can't step out on my back porch and see these, how can this be a sign for me?

The reason I ask it is this, is because if God's trying to speak to us, don't you think

He would be speaking to us in a non -regular, this is a regular occurring event.

There are a certain number of eclipses every year, and it's a combination of solar eclipses and lunar eclipses, and they happen every year,

I think up to seven of them per year. And here's the idea, these eclipses are normal.

They are normal, but here's the deal, because the earth is a big ball, the eclipses are not always visible everywhere on the earth.

In fact, if you were to do some Google research, just, hey, work with me here, and do some

Google research, and look up eclipses, you will find that you can see where the next eclipse is going to be visible on planet earth, and where it's going to be most intense.

For instance, in 2017, August 21st, 2017, there is going to be a total eclipse that's going to be visible in the

United States, and it has been a long time since a total solar eclipse has been visible in the

United States, I mean, decades. And so, if you were to Google that August 21st solar eclipse,

I mean, people in Kansas City on August 21st are going to be viewing a total solar eclipse.

If you live in and around St. Louis, I mean, you don't have to travel far to see a total solar eclipse, and it's going to be a big deal.

But the thing is, is that it's been a long time since there's been a total solar eclipse visible in North America.

Does that mean that eclipses are rare? No, they're not rare at all. They happen several times a year.

Are lunar eclipses rare? No, not at all. But the thing is, is that you're not always going to see it.

Okay? You get what I'm saying here. But, you know, of course, if you just Google and, you know, look at NASA, you know, we're going to find some prophetic thing going on here.

Now, notice here the delivery of his message. The details fit exactly the same kind of arguments we get from William Tapley, the third eagle of the apocalypse and co -prophet of the end times.

Same exact type of argument. The difference is John Hagee has chops.

But all of these will be seen collectively around the world. Traditionally in Judaism, a moon is a signal to Israel.

A sun is a signal to the world. And where are you getting that from?

You ain't getting that from the Bible. In this presentation by Joel, chapter two.

Now we're going to pay close attention to Joel chapter two coming up here, but he's going to read it for us, and we're going to point out something that he's missing.

This is a message to the world and to Israel, and this will all fit when we get to the end of the message today.

Word of God. Well, we're going to test that. Read with me Joel 2, verses 30 and 31.

Ready? And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood and fire and pillars of smoke.

Now that's a battle on the ground, but this is in the heavens. The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the coming of the great and awesome day of the

Lord. Now I'm going to stop here, okay? I'm going to stop there and just...we're

going to unpack this for a second here, okay? If this is talking about a standard, run -of -the -mill, ordinary, and I mean that in the truest sense, lunar eclipse or solar eclipse, that's not going to work as the fulfillment of that sign.

It just ain't going to work at all because we can predict when these things are coming. You know what

I'm saying? Let's continue. Acts the second chapter, the 19th and the 20th verse.

The Apostle Peter repeats Joel's statement word for word.

Yeah, now you're going to need your Bible open to Acts chapter 2. We're going to take a look at this and point out what

John Hagee is omitting. He's engaging in some Bible hopscotch here. And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath.

The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the coming of the great and awesome day of the

Lord. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Now stop, okay? So we have the prophet Joel, and we have

Peter quoting the prophet Joel on the great day of Pentecost.

Now here's the question. When Peter was quoting the prophet Joel, was Peter basically picking up Joel's prophecy and prophesying about a future event of four blood moons that were going to be happening in the year 2014 and 2015?

Is that what he was doing? Is this prophecy of Joel a prophecy regarding the eschaton, the very, very end of the last days, or was

Joel prophesying regarding something else? And it's imperative that you pay close attention, okay?

So we're going to do our context, context, context rule, and we'll start at Acts chapter two, starting at verse five.

Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven, and at this sound, basically the

Holy Spirit has come, tongues of fire have distributed among the disciples, the apostles, and now they begin speaking in languages they do not know and declaring the wonders of God.

This is what's going on here. So now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven, and at this sound, the multitude came together, and they were bewildered because each one was hearing them speak in his own language, and they were amazed and astonished, saying, are not all these who are speaking

Galileans? How is it that we hear each of us in his own native language,

Parthenians and Medes and Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea, Cappadocia, Pontus in Asia, Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt and parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene and visitors from Rome, both

Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabians, we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God.

And all were amazed, and they were perplexed, saying to one another, what does this mean?

But others mocked, said, well, they're filled with new wine. But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them.

Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and give ear to my words.

For these people are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.

But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel. So the day of Pentecost was what

Peter, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, this is an inspired sermon, okay?

Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Peter takes up the prophecy of Joel and he says it's being fulfilled in their hearing at that moment at that time.

Peter here is not talking, he's not taking up Joel and basically forwarding on, having us look for some future fulfillment.

He's saying that the prophecy from Joel is being fulfilled right then and there, 2 ,000 years ago.

And here's what Peter says. This is what was uttered through the prophet Joel, and in the last days it shall be,

God declares that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh, on your sons and your daughters, they shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men dream dreams, even on my male servants and female servants, in those days

I will pour out my spirit and they shall prophesy. And I shall show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and vapor of smoke, and the sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the day of the

Lord comes, the great and magnificent day, and it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the

Lord shall be saved. And then you say, well, well, isn't the sun being turned to darkness and the moon to blood a prophecy regarding the four blood moons?

Nope. That had already been fulfilled. And you're saying, oh, come on, Chris, when was that fulfilled?

Answer, Mark chapter 15, verse 33. Here's what it says while Jesus was being crucified.

And when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.

And at the ninth hour, Jesus cried out with a loud voice, Eloi, Eloi, lava sabachthani, which means my

God, my God, why have you forsaken me? While Jesus was being crucified, there was a three hour long darkening of the sun.

And if you could see the moon on that day, it would have looked like blood. This was a sign visible for everybody throughout the world.

You know your ancient history, even the Romans talk about this unexpected eclipse, and they didn't know how to explain it.

So the prophecy of Joel here talking about the sun being turned to darkness, it had occurred 50 days prior or 53 days prior to the day of Pentecost, right?

And everybody who was there hearing Peter's sermon on the great day of Pentecost knew about that event.

Everybody had been talking about it, right? And so here now we have the outpouring of the

Holy Spirit, the sun being turned to darkness and the moon to blood. This was pointing to what happened when

Jesus was hanging and suffering on the cross for our sins.

That's what this is referring to. And it came to pass, and talking then about the end times, and it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the

Lord will be saved. So Joel wasn't prophesying regarding four blood moons,

Joel was prophesying regarding the darkening of the sun when Jesus was hanging on the cross.

That's what's going on here, but that's not what John Hagee's talking about. He's written a book.

He's got to sell copies of that book. But like William Tapley, he kind of misses the whole point of what

Scripture's about. We continue. So you have Joel the prophet, St.

Peter the follower of Christ, saying exactly the same thing.

Therefore, when you see these signs, the Bible says, lift up your head and rejoice, your redemption draweth nigh.

Out of context, yeah, that passage that you're citing there doesn't go with the

Joel prophecy. The Joel prophecy has been fulfilled. I believe that the heavens are

God's billboard, that He has been sending signals to planet earth, and we just haven't been picking them up.

Yeah, and William Tapley thinks that God's trying to speak to us via sporting events, and we're just not paying attention either.

Yeah, birds of a feather, they say. Today, with the help of God's word and some very astute scientists,

So that's installment number one, and you can already see the problem, and that is that John Hagee is not a careful exegete, and he's monkeying with the biblical text to try to make them say something that they're not saying, but boy, he sure does mean it, because he's looked on the

NASA website and he used Google. So, I mean, who are we to question

NASA and Google? I mean, you know what I mean? But yet when we check the details, already the details aren't matching a sound biblical exegesis of the text that he's quoting, and he's putting things together as if somehow the prophecy of Joel is pointing us to the four blood moons, and it's not.

Joel's prophecy was pointing us to the sun being darkened while Jesus was being crucified. You see the problem?
