Hello, welcome back to daily bites God's word. This is Andy Cain. It's a joy to be back with you Once again today, we are looking at Psalm 119 verse 28

It says my soul weeps because of grief this word weeps means drops falls down It's sunken it weeps.

It's down trodden because of grief where he says raise me up according to your word the psalmist does not want to be lifted up or have a

Success without God he doesn't want to see success or be raised up outside of the will of God or outside of the power of God if We find ourselves down trodden or if we find ourselves or our souls and in despair or in sorrow and in grieving

We want to be raised back up according to the Word of God according to the promises of the

Word of God We don't want to see ourselves brought up and Do well or succeed or have joy if it's apart

From the grace and mercy of God our whole existence everything that we have everything that we are is by the grace of God Everything that we have everything that we are is because of God So we should never want to see ourselves raised up because if we're raised up outside of God's grace and mercy

We run the risk of being very prideful Thinking that somehow we have contributed to this and it is only by the power of God that we can be

Successful and happy and joyful because only true joy can be found in the Lord And this is what the psalmist is hitting on here

The true joy of the psalmist is to rest in the grace and mercy and power of God And so he wants to be revived.

He wants to be raised up According to the Word and the statutes and law of God and this is why we talk about Christ or chaos

We talk about wanting to apply the Word of God to all areas of life

Because that is the true desire of One of God's people.
