Daily Bites Of God's Word - Part 22 - Psalm 119:22

Hello, welcome back to Daily Bites of God's Word. This is Andy Cain. It's a joy to be back with you once again.

Today we are looking at Psalm 119 and verse 21. It says, you rebuke the arrogant, the cursed who stray from your commandments.

Now, another way you could translate this would be that God rebukes the arrogant and cursed are those who wonder or go away from your commandments.

So, the arrogant is the one that thinks he can live it the way that he wants it. You know, have it your way right away.

Bird King now, where you go to the drive -thru at Bird King, they say, welcome to Bird King, where you rule, what can

I get for you? Like, I kind of like that, but then I have to repent of my arrogance. So, we must not be arrogant.

We must not think that we know better than God. We must not think that disobedience to God's law is a good thing or that we somehow know better.

It is said that God not only rebukes this person, but this is a cursed person who strays from his commandments.

We see this in life. When you try to live it your way and don't live in obedience to God's Word and what

God has said, you do not see blessing. You do not see righteousness. You do not see the type of success that your spirit would truly desire.

However, when you are in line with God's Word, obedient to God's Word, you will find blessing.

The nations and the people that stray from his commandments, we see this in our country right now, when you shake your fist at God or turn away from him and stray and wander from what he has said and think more of what man thinks as opposed to what

God has said, you will see the repercussions and the just consequences that come with that.

And so, I hope that in your life, you will not need to be rebuked for your arrogance, sinfulness, that you will not be cursed while you stray from commandments, but that you will seek after God, seek his
