- Hello there and welcome back to Daily Bites of God's Word.
- 00:14
- This is Andy K and it's a joy to be back with you once again. Today we're looking at Psalm 119 verse 10 which says,
- 00:21
- With all my heart I have sought you. Do not let me stray from your commandments.
- 00:27
- This should be the mission, the motto, the foundational goal of every single
- 00:35
- Christian. With all my heart, we are commanded to love the Lord thy
- 00:41
- God or our God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. We are to be living sacrifices to God which is a fragrant, a good aroma to the nostrils of God.
- 00:54
- In contrast to how the sacrifices of Leviticus could be, they were not in full.
- 01:00
- Christ's sacrifice is that perfect sacrifice so that when we live as living sacrifices daily unto
- 01:07
- God, seeking Him with all of our heart, we present this pleasant aroma. We are this beautiful righteousness of Christ living out in this world.
- 01:17
- And it says, With all my heart I have sought you. I've sought
- 01:22
- God. I've sought to be like God. Do not let me stray from your commandments.
- 01:29
- God, keep me and hold me. If you see me moving to the left or to the right, pull me back in.
- 01:37
- Hold me firm in that which you have taught me. Hold me firm in submission and obedience to your commandments.
- 01:44
- We don't want to let sin take root in our life and blossom into a habitual lifestyle.
- 01:52
- We want to deal with sin at the heart of the matter and when it happens and repent of it and keep ourselves walking in that pure way that verse 9 talked about.
- 02:01
- So with all your heart, you need to be seeking God daily. And you need to make sure that you are asking
- 02:07
- Him daily to help you stay firmly planted in the word of God and in the commandments of God.
- 02:15
- So is that your call? Is that your desire every day? I pray that it is. And I want to thank you for joining me on this daily bite of God's word.
