- This is Andy Cain. It's a joy to be back with you once again. Today we're looking at what is one of the more famous or well -known verses in all

- Scripture. Psalm 119, verse 11, it says, your word I have treasured in my heart that I may not sin against you.

- Man, that is just the hallmark of the Christian desire, is it not? We want to have

- God's word treasured in our hearts so that the end result is that we are not sinning.

- Now, when someone is first saved, especially if they're saved later in life and they may have had some sinful habits, they won't all of a sudden become very righteous in their outward expression.

- It will take time to control the flesh and to get your flesh under control and to learn righteousness and putting aside and repenting of sin in your life.

- But if you treasure God's word in your heart, you will see that seed blossom in your life.

- You can't help but see it happen. If you do not treasure God's word, if you treasure having things your way, if you treasure having it a sinful way, you won't see yourself refraining from sin.

- You'll see yourself engaging in sin. So you need to be treasuring God's word.

- It needs to be the life of you, the breath of you, your food, your spiritual food, your spiritual energy, the spiritual thing that enables you to live that righteous and holy life.

- And so I encourage you, my friends, treasure God's word in your heart. Read it, study it, pray over it, meditate over it, and apply it.

- And you will see a beautiful, blossoming, abundant righteousness in your life.
