Daily Bites Of God's Word - Part 14 - Psalm 119:14

00:00
Welcome back to Dated by the
00:13
God's Word. This is Andy Cain. It's a joy to be back with you once again. Today we're looking at Psalm 119 verse 13.
00:21
It says, With my lips I have recounted all the judgments of your mouth. Notice here that in light of scripture and in light of the law of God, the psalmist is saying that he wants to recount, to repeat, and thus confirm and agree with the judgments of the mouth of God.
00:43
It is God that judges rightly, it is God that judges true and holy, and it is the judgments of God's mouth that we need to recount.
00:53
We need to let people know about these things. This is very pertinent to our day and age in letting people know that God has a law,
01:01
God has a decree, God's judgments have always been just and right in the past, and therefore we can trust that even if our country is under judgment for all of our sin, we can know that it is a righteous judgment.
01:13
It is a judgment that is deserved and is a judgment that cannot be questioned.
01:20
So we need to be repeating, recounting, talking of the fact that God makes just judgments.
01:26
He is a righteous judge, He is the only righteous judge, and it is with our lips that we recount these judgments that come out of the mouth of God, and we have
01:38
His word, we have the full canon of scripture, this is God speaking to us, it is through here that we learn
01:45
His law and His precepts and His judgments, and it is out of this word that we repeat and preach those things that God has judged and made known to us, amen?
01:56
So I want you to take some time today and meditate on the law of God, meditate on the judgments of God, and see just how just and righteous of God it is that we serve.
02:07
And this is good news for us that are His saints because we can trust that our eternal security is, in fact, secure in Christ because God cannot fail,
02:19
He cannot change, He cannot go back on His word, and He has made judgment on our sin, on the person of Christ when
02:26
He died on Calvary, and so now we are set free from the bondage of sin. So we rejoice in the judgment of God on our sin, but we also need to be understanding that it is our sin that put
02:38
Him there in the first place, which causes mourning, but then we know joy comes in the morning, we can repent, we can put faith in Christ and be saved, amen?
