815. I guess I wasn't early enough. All right. Open your Bibles to Daniel, chapter four.
Looks like somebody was teaching math, didn't it? For those that read ahead, just remember next week.
We won't be in chapter five. We're going to be in chapter seven. Seven, eight, five, six. That's the chronological order and that's how we're going to teach it. All right. I'm going to read the chapter and then try to gather my thoughts a little bit here.
Nebuchadnezzar the king, to all the peoples, nations, and men of every language that live in all the earth, may your peace abound. It has seemed good to me to declare the signs and the wonders which the Most High God has done for me.
How great are his signs and how mighty are his wonders. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. His dominion is for generation to generation. I, Nebuchadnezzar, was at ease in my house and flourishing in my palace.
I saw a dream and it made me fearful. These fantasies as I lay in my bed, the visions of my mind kept alarming me. So I gave orders to bring in my presence all the wise men of Babylon that they might make known to me the interpretation of the dream.
Then the magicians and the conjurers and the Chaldeans and the diviners came in and relayed the dream. I related the dream to them but they could not make its interpretation known to me. But finally Daniel came in before me whose name is Belteshazzar according to the name of my God and whom is a spirit of the holy gods.
And I relayed the dream to him saying, O Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, since I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you and no mystery baffles you, tell me the visions of my dream which I have seen along with its interpretation.
Now these were the visions in my mind as I lay on my bed. I was looking and behold there was a tree in the midst of the earth and its height was great. The tree grew large and became strong. Its height reached to the sky.
It was visible to the end of the whole earth. Its foliage was beautiful. Its fruit abundant and in it was food for all. The beast of the field found shade under it. The birds of the sky dwelt in its branches and all living creatures fed themselves from it.
I was looking in the visions of my mind as I lay in my bed and behold an angelic watcher, a holy one, descended from heaven and he shouted out and he spoke as follows. Chop down the tree, cut off its branches, strip of its foliage and scatter its fruit.
Let the beasts flee from under it and the birds from its branches. Yet leave the stump with its roots in the ground, but with a put a band of bronze and iron around it in the new grass of the field and let it be drenched with the of the heaven and let him share with the beast of the grass of the earth.
Let his mind be changed from that of a man and let a beast's mind be given to him and let seven periods of time pass over him. This sentence is by the decree of the angelic watchers and the decision is the command of the holy ones in order that the living may know that the most high is the ruler over the realm of mankind and bestows it on whom he wishes and sets over it the lowliest of men.
This is the dream which I, Nebuchadnezzar, have seen. Now you, Belteshazzar, tell me its interpretation insomuch as none of the other wise men of my kingdom has been able to make known to me its interpretation, but you are able for the spirit of the holy gods is in you.
Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was appalled for a while as his thoughts alarmed him. The king responded and said, Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its interpretation alarm you. Belteshazzar replied, my lord, only if the dream would have applied to the ones whom you hate and its interpretation to your adversaries.
The tree that you saw which became large and grew strong whose height reached the sky and was visible to all the earth and whose foliage was beautiful and its fruit abundant and in which its food was for all, under which the beast of the field dwelt and whose branches the birds of the sky lodged, it is you, O king.
For you have become great, you have grown strong, and your majesty has become great and reached the sky in your dominion to the end of the earth. In that, the king saw an angelic watcher, a holy one, descending from heaven saying, chop down the tree, destroy it, yet leave the stump and its roots in the ground but with a band of iron and bronze around it in the new grass of the field and let him be drenched with the dew of the heaven and let him share with the beast of the field until the seven periods of time have passed over.
This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the most high which has come upon my lord the king, that you will be driven away from mankind and your dwelling place will be with the beast of the field and you will be given grass to eat like cattle and be drenched with the dew of heaven and seven periods of time will pass over you until you recognize that the most high is the ruler over the realm of mankind and bestows it on whomever he wishes.
And in that it is commanded to leave the stump with the roots of the tree, your kingdom will be assured to you after you recognize that it is heaven that rules. Therefore, O king, may my advice be pleasing to you.
Break away now from your sins by doing righteousness and from your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor in case there may be a prolonging of your prosperity. All this happened to Nebuchadnezzar the king.
Twelve months later he was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon. The king reflected and he said, is this not Babylon the great which I myself have built as a royal residence by the might of my own power for the glory of my majesty?
While the word was still in the king's mouth, a voice came from heaven saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is declared sovereignty has been removed from you and you will be driven away from mankind and your dwelling place will be the beast of the field and you will be given grass to eat like cattle and seven periods of time will pass over you until you recognize that the most high is the ruler over the realm of mankind and bestows it on whomever he wishes.
And immediately the word concerning Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. He was driven away from mankind and began to eat grass like cattle. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair had grown long like eagle's feathers and his nails like bird's claws.
But at the end of that period I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised up my eyes towards heaven and my reason returned to me and I blessed the most high and praised and honored him who lives forever for his kingdom and dominion is an everlasting dominion and his kingdom endures from generation to generation.
All the habitants of the earth are accounted as nothing but he does according to his will and the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth and no one can ward off his hand or say to him, what have you done?
At that time my reason returned to me, my majesty and splendor were restored to me for the glory of my kingdom and my counselors and my nobles began seeking me out so I was re-established in my sovereignty.
Surpassing greatness was added to me and now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and honor the king of heaven for all the works are true in his ways just and he is able to humble those who walk in pride.
Well, once again, we have seen a lot of repetition like we did in the last chapter as he is the writer in this case was mostly Nebuchadnezzar although I do believe Daniel played a very good role in helping him write this letter to the nations.
The reason for the constant repetitiveness is because they didn't have highlighters in bold print in this day so the best way to do it was to repeat and we see constantly through this chapter that the sovereignty of God he raises up whom he wishes and he throws down whom he wishes and actually if we go back for the last three chapters previously for that has that not been the consistent pattern through the book of Daniel whether it was who handed Jerusalem into Nebuchadnezzar's hand.
It was God. I mean it actually says that he picked him up as an egg and just handed the nation of Israel or Jerusalem into his hand and it was God who did that. Who was it that gave Nebuchadnezzar the interpretation of his dream of the Colossus?
It was God but he used Daniel as the medium to do that. Who was it that preserved the men not from the fire last week but in the fire. Who was it that did that? It was God. It's showing that God is the absolute sovereign ruler over all things and just as he said at the end of this chapter what God puts his hand to no man can thwart it off.
You know like we take a child it reaches out to grab something that it's not supposed to and you whack it. Who's going to do that to God? Nobody. Nobody. So Nebuchadnezzar has been dealt with twice so far.
He had the Colossus dream. He had special revelation from God of the raising up of the kingdoms that would come. Was that not a merciful and gracious act of God to even give him any type of revelation of what was to come?
Was it not? Was it not a gracious act of God to preserve those men in the fire to reveal him to reveal the angel of the Lord as the preserving power in the fire that then made Nebuchadnezzar recognize that you know what there is a most high God who's ruler over all things.
Was that not a gracious act of God? We're going to see right now another merciful gracious act of God to give Nebuchadnezzar this is divine revelation to him of what is going to take place. This was conditional.
This was conditional. We read at the end and we'll get to it. If you turn and do righteousness this will not happen to you. That's applicable to every person in this room and is if a person repents and turns will God's judgment come on them?
Will it? No. No. God's forgiveness is conditional upon faith and repentance. That's what it is and that's the same as here. So let's walk through the text. Nebuchadnezzar the king to all the people's nations of men of every language who live on the earth.
Once again this is Nebuchadnezzar who's writing this letter to once again he is just as he had them bow down every nation language and people and tongue he was going to have him bow down to this golden colossus.
Now he's saying hey I want you to read this letter and he he's writing it to all people under every language under the earth. He said may peace be abound to you. It seemed good to me to declare the signs and the wonders which the most high God has done for me.
What kind of wonders had he had already seen at this point? He yeah he saw that. Yeah he saw that. What else? Yeah he actually when he said oh wow Daniel's God is the one who gives wisdom and is the one who who gives understanding he says this God is great.
So yeah I don't know based on because we don't know how much time frame went from two to where we're at today what other wonders he may have seen. I mean imagine Daniel was a man of God. We don't know what other but he says wonders and signs meaning multiple.
Which the most high has done for me. He says how great are his signs and how mighty are his wonders. At this time he does recognize that there is a supreme God in heaven who right he does realize that it's God that raises them up.
It is God that sets them down. It's God that preserved those young men in the fire. It is God that has preserved and gave Daniel the wisdom and the knowledge that he has. But Nebuchadnezzar still has not bowed his knee to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Look just a a mere recognition that there is a sovereign God in heaven. That there is I'll even say this just the mere recognition of the facts that you that a person believes in God. Believes that Jesus came into the world.
That believes in their mind that Jesus Christ came into the world. He bore the sins of his people and that he resurrected from the grave. That's not saving faith. Saving faith is turning from from unbelief and then putting all of your faith and trust into what the those facts are.
That's saving faith. Just not the recognition of mere facts. They sure do. Yeah they a matter of fact I would say their theology is probably better than ours. They've seen the exalted reigning king of kings.
They have seen his power and his glory and they know that their their doom is imminent. I mean no matter in fact you can even go remember when Jesus was walking about doing his messianic ministry and the as he came up on I think it was the demoniac of Gadara and he says hey uh don't don't punish uh punish us now old son of God.
So they realize hey that he is the son of God and they realize that he was the one that one day would pour out the judgment on them. But it says here your great signs and your many wonders the king his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom.
Where did Nebuchadnezzar get that from? Good he he got it he got it from God through the revelation of the dream and Daniel told him remember the little stone cut without hands was going to come and was going to shatter these this world system these four empires and would reign in an everlasting kingdom.
He knows and here it is once again a recognition of that that the kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. His dominion is from generation to generation meaning hey it's not only for here it's going to keep going and going and going and it can't be destroyed.
I Nebuchadnezzar was at ease in my house. So here it is he is going to he is going to tell his story of what took place. I Nebuchadnezzar was at ease in my house flourishing in my palace. I saw a dream and it made me fearful and these fantasies as I lay on my bed.
You remember he he had a dream back in chapter two did the same thing. He was laying in his bed in his bed and he was pondering things that would how things were going to be in the future and he had a dream and it made him fearful.
It caused him consternation. The same thing happens here. He has a dream. It causes him consternation. It says that it was in his mind and it kept alarming me. He had to know what was this dream what was it about.
So in verse six he says so I I gave orders to bring in to my presence all the wise men of Babylon. It's interesting that he brings in all the wise men of Babylon but who's not present yet. Daniel the president of the what's that yeah the president of the wise men's guild.
So he calls in he has the wise men come in and that they might get make known to him or make he says to make known to me the interpretation of the dream and the magicians and the conjurers and the chaldeans and all the diviners came in.
Remember this was not just men who can interpret dreams. This was everything from snake charmers to magicians to I mean anything that involved the spiritual the magical these guys came in and we don't know how many these were.
What's that yeah and I wonder why did he just call Daniel in and he knows Daniel's he's like you know the trump card. Just call him in get this thing out of the way but he doesn't and it's almost as we'll read it it's almost as if they came across one by one.
He like he they came in in a line he told him the dream they didn't know told him a dream they didn't know and how we get to come to that conclusion is because it says that they could not tell him but finally Daniel came in before him as if they were coming in succession.
It says that Daniel then came in before him whose name was Belteshazzar. Interesting that he says Belteshazzar. A reminder that Daniel's where? In Babylon. Reminder that Daniel has been put under the the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar and he is still although he under the sovereign rule of God that he is still under the yoke and the chastisement of Nebuchadnezzar because of the sins of his fathers and it says according to the name of my God.
Whose God? Nebuchadnezzar's God and in whom is a spirit of the holy gods and I relay the dream to him saying oh Belteshazzar chief of the magicians since I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you and no mystery baffles you tell me the visions of my dream which I have seen along with its interpretation.
Now I'm gonna I'm gonna make a suggestion if you disagree with me fine with that if your if your job is to interpret dreams this dream should not have been hard okay if your job's to say hey this person's going to tell me a dream and I'm supposed to to make it out to their best interest this should not have been hard.
I personally think these magicians knew that this was a condemnation against Nebuchadnezzar. They didn't want to tell and the reason why I believe that is as we go through with this watcher that the sins basically gives the interpretation of what he had what the dream was he tells him hey we're fit just chop this thing down sovereignty has been removed so these guys probably in fear of not telling him the truth hey if I tell this guy and this is not beneficial to him he doesn't like what I say remember Nebuchadnezzar doesn't fire people what does he do?
Chops them up in pieces makes her house rubble heaps or he puts them in the fiery furnace so that is a yes sir. I also find it interesting.
When when all the magicians are coming in it says he tells them the dream but they couldn't tell him the interpretation. When Daniel comes in he challenges Daniel to tell him the dream.
Just like before. Right just like before. Right. Just like before. He made it easier. Yeah yeah he told him. And that's why I really do believe they they at least had an understanding of of. Hey this is probably about the king.
If I tell him this may not work out for me you know. He he's pretty good on hacking people up in pieces and making their houses dung heaps and all that. So he uh he calls me and he says tell me the vision of my dreams I've seen along with this interpretation.
Verse 10. Now these were the visions in my mind. As I lay on my bed and I was looking and behold there was a tree in the midst of the earth and its height grew great. Hey look if you're like I said if you're a fortune teller and uh he these people are probably already very aware that the giant colossus who was the who was the greatest of the giant colossus nebuchadnezzar.
So this is should be a no-brainer. Hey in all of the earth at this point in time who was the most powerful man on the planet. Nebuchadnezzar. So all they have to do is interpret this in light of what it's what's going on just like they always do.
You tell us your dream and it will make something up that's beneficial for you. Well in this case there's nothing beneficial for him on this because everything that this dream is about is not about his exaltation or him his glory.
It has to do with the glorious his glorious and splendor not being acknowledged and god's going to strike him down because of it. It says its heights went great the tree grew large and it became strong.
Is that not true. If nebuchadnezzar is this tree did he not become great and strong. Yes he did. He was a very good military leader. His conquest across babylon and across the middle east was he just ravished and he took over all of that land in some probably 25 to 30 years.
He was in power about roughly 43. All of the neo-babylonian empire only lasted between 79 and 81 years. So the majority of that was was under the control of nebuchadnezzar. He he grew large and he became strong and its heights reached to the sky and it was visible to all of the to the end of the whole earth.
And that is true. He was the most powerful man on the planet at that time even in the dream it said he was that that happened. That was in chapter two. Its foliage was beautiful its fruit abundant and it was food for all.
As an empire builder nebuchadnezzar was very industrious to those countries around him. Not only was he good at architectural building but he was good at at agriculture. He was a very good military leader agricultural leader and architect.
And he he made it beneficial to all the countries around him and the ones in which he subdued it says the beast of the field found shade under it. The birds of the sky dwelt in its branches and all living creatures fed themselves from it.
What does that say about nebuchadnezzar. He was yeah man this guy actually was very good for the known area. Yeah he was very good beneficial. Let me back up in verse 13. But i was looking at my visions in my mind as i lay in my bed and behold an angelic watcher the holy one descended from heaven.
Now this holy this does a mind. The angelic is an italics meaning it ain't really there in the original hebrews. Everybody's just say watcher mike what does yours say. Watcher. Anybody else say anything yet.
Just watcher. That it um and it it's actually it's basically an angelic messenger is how. That's why in the new american standard they have put angelic there to help us get understanding of what it is.
This is an angelic watcher a holy one descended from heaven. And he shouted out and spoke as follows. All right here it is. We've seen this big tree. It's been strong high visible. It's been beneficial to everyone that's around it.
Birds of the of the field have nested in it. Beast have found shade. It's provided food. And listen to what this angel says messenger. He shouted out and spoke as follow as follows. Chop it down the tree cut off its branches.
Strip off its foliage and scatter its fruit. Let the beasts flee from under it and let the birds from it. Let the birds leave from its branches. Is he not saying to do exactly the opposite of what he just said in the previous two verses.
Is he not. That's the condemnation. That's the condemnation that's coming down on this tree in the from the the previous two verses. Now he's going to make sure that everything that was in it around it and under it is gone in verse 15.
Yet leave the stump with its roots in the ground but with a band of iron and bronze around it. So he says when we strip strip the bark off of it. You strip all the branches off it. You're going to be.
You're going to have this basically a a a tall tree with no branches. Then the watcher says then i want you to whack it to the ground. Chop it but leave a stump. Why leave a stump and something that's right.
So it can grow again. So it can grow again. But notice what it's what it does when he cuts it it he not only cuts it to the ground. What would you do to something if you didn't want it to sprout immediately to start to grow it back without you put something around it.
So it can't sprout like she was saying. So it won't sprout or have a shoot. Just uh you put something around it. In this case they're talking about putting a bronze piece of casing around it so that it shoots can't begin to branch out again.
So they're going to take that stump with its roots and put a band of iron and bronze around it. So not only is it the stump but the roots too. So it can't go any further. This is it. He he is this angelic being saying this tree will go no further.
It won't go up. It won't go out and it's and it won't extend basically um it won't extend its roots. And in his case it won't extend uh nebuchadnezzar's empire any further from here. And it says uh and in the new grass of the field let him be drenched with the dew of heaven and let him share with the grass i'm sorry.
And let him share with the beast in the grass of the earth. And let his mind be changed from that of a man to let the beast mind be given to him. Do you see the change we went from a tree to who a person.
So it would like i said it should not be real hard for these diviners to go. Wait a minute. He was talking about a tree for a second. And now he's not only talking about a tree now he's talking about a dude.
What's that. Yeah this tree become a person. And he says let him be drenched with the dew of the heaven and let him share with the beast of the grass of the earth and let his mind be changed from that of a man to that of a beast.
So here it is. There has been a condemnation not just now on a tree but a person. His mind is going to be changed. He's going to whatever it is. He's not going to find uh comfort or um covering or sustenance from uh anything that he has found in the past.
Whether it be this tree his empire none of that it says. And this will go on for seven periods of time till it passes over him in verse 16. Now the periods of time we're not real sure. Could it be uh seven months.
Could be. I don't think it is. It could be certainly not seven hours or seven days. Okay. Because this is going to be an extensive amount of time to where as it gets to the end is his hair on his back turns into the you know like feathers of eagles and he gets crazy fingernails and toenails.
And so it has to be long enough and for that to begin to take place. And for this uh metamorphosis to take place and it'll be for seven periods of time it will pass over him. This sentence is by the decree of these watchers.
Look all right. This has come from heaven. This has come from the messengers of god. The decision is the command of the holy ones in order that the living may know. Here it is that the most high is the ruler over the realm of mankind.
Third time. Nebuchadnezzar has heard this third time. And what does he do. He still rejects the knowledge of who god is as embracing it as his own. He has the opportunity once again to to say okay it's god that has done this.
This person that is fixing to be turned to the beat to be like the beast of the field to have dew on his back and and to eat grass. Here it is. It's the most high that's going to do this. It's the most high that's the ruler over the realm of all mankind.
And he bestows it on whom he wishes and sets him over the lowliest of men. And in verse 18 this is the dream which i king nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now you belty shazzer tell me its interpretation. And so much as none of the wise men of my kingdom were able to make it known to me.
But you are able for the spirit of the holy gods is in you. He had no he had no apprehension that daniel was not going to do that did he. Yet he knew that daniel because he did have the spirit from his perspective had the spirit of the gods was a holy man that he had the ability to give him the information that he wanted the word.
Who's another person we hear that said about joseph. Joseph remember the pharaoh wanted to know about his dream. And he called joseph in. And what did he say about joseph. Man this guy's got the spirits of the gods within him.
This dude's smart. I guess a better way of understanding. Uh when it talks about him having the spirit of the holy gods within him. Just this dude's pretty spiritual. That's all he's not saying hey um he recognizes that there is a monotheistic god in heaven of yamia way.
That's not what nebuchadnezzar is saying. Well then daniel in verse 19 whose name was appalled for a while in his thoughts. And it says his thoughts alarmed him. The king responded bel to shazzer. Do not let the dream or its interpretation alarm you.
So there was obviously when he told daniel hid this dream there was an obvious countenance changed within daniel. Would we agree. And why do we know that. Because king the king says dude check it out man whatever it is just tell me basically it doesn't matter whether it's good or bad.
Just like i gotta know. I've got to know. And we're for another time he says. Bel to shazza replied my lord if only this dream would have applied to those who hate you and its interpretation to your adversaries.
Look how kind daniel is. And diplomatic. Very. Yeah. I don't. I don't think for one minute though that daniel i'm not saying this is what you're saying. I don't think for one minute that daniel was ever concerned about his life from after the time of uh after the time of giving him the dream.
And um interpreting it not one time do i think daniel was ever uh worried about losing his life quote his job or anything. Um but i do believe from that point on when he gave i think i said this when we were in chapter two that we do begin to see this love and compassion that he has for nebuchadnezzar.
We don't know how long this is this has happened. We don't know long enough for him to be out doing whatever the king's business he needed wanted him to do and long enough for him to be. Hey call to know daniel.
Enough to call daniel whom i named bel to shazza. I want him in here enough to know that. Hey this guy is a man of good character. And when he responds to him daniel's just like i i really don't want to tell you.
I don't want to tell you how many people in here want to tell somebody bad news. Anybody. How many want to hear bad news who wakes up in the morning and says man i'd sure like to hear some condemnation today.
No nobody. And daniel now with this knowledge knows he has to give him the interpretation. But he recoils. He recoils. He's like you know i would have rather that this would have been a dream about one of your enemies.
I mean sometimes i wonder man maybe i wish that was about zedekiah you know the the the evil uh diabolical king that was wanted to kill uh jeremiah and killed another prod you know it was like man why couldn't it have been about that guy or joyicum you know.
But no this is about you. This is about you. This is about the one whom god has put in the place that he is in. This is about the one whom god has used as a scourge to uh to to punish and chastise his people for breaking his covenant.
And he says now i have to give its interpretation to you. And i i don't want to but it's necessary um is that clock right back there. It's 10 11. Well we'll uh why don't we square up there. So we don't start.
We'll pick up in um in verse 20 next week. Anybody got any comments or questions so far.
Yes sir well it's actually he remember. We're starting from the beginning i mean from the end.
From the beginning so he's retelling the story from the perspective of he. If you get to the end he's basically i don't want to say converted. Um because i don't think he was converted. He is recollecting the recognition of the sovereignty of god that he recognized after this took place.
So he is starting from the end working his way back. That's why.
Does that not answer your question. No i've got yes like verse one. He doesn't start his.
Recounting though his actual narrative of what took place. Till four. Okay he's writing a letter saying hey i'm fixing to give you i'm fixing to tell you what took place. That's why i believe that daniel helped him write part of this.
And this is an arab this part's still in aramaic. But yeah he doesn't actually start telling what took place in this actual scenario till verse four. He just basically um how i understand it is one through three is a greeting.
It's a letter. It's basically a greeting because he says hey i'm writing this to everyone to all people's nations in every language about the earth. And he wants people to read it. I want people to know what this god has done because this is a god who is from everlasting of everlasting.
He raises up dominions and drops dominions and let me tell you how that how i came to that understanding. And then he begins to to tell how he came to that understanding. Does that answer your question.
Okay.
Anybody else i didn't know if he was because i thought the same thing. It's like 1 through 18 he's given his first person and then 19 through 33 it's it's like that's daniel's account and then picking up 34th to the end it says.
Then at the end of the day i never lifted up my eyes. Yeah that's kind of what i was just like he goes back and forth he goes he he's speaking he's.
Speaking is telling the story but then i don't know if you ever heard of in in greek and burke can probably explain it better. In greek you have what's called the historical present. I don't know if that's what they have in the hebrew and it's almost like he's speaking in the historical present.
Is. Is that a. Yeah. Of course. In the hebrew they use it a little different because they don't have all the tenses and all that but because we're reading it in english and he is speaking as if it's happening now.
But it happened in the past. Let me tell you a story and say man we went to the we went to the football game and and and and we were running or i i'm i'm check it out man i'm running down the side of the field.
Wait a minute. I'm not really running. I'm telling you what took place in the past as if it's in the present and that is what what's taking place. That is pretty.
Cool though that this portion probably went. You know it looks like he was writing it to the nations. Yes daniel. Yeah. Then this letter. Probably actually. Um from two to the end i think it's since from two.
To seven twenty eight two. I think it's two. Four. To seven. To chapter 7 28. They're in aramaic. I think most bibles have a bracket there. Or they used to have a bracket to say hey this is an aramaic and the reason why i believe it's written in aramaic what was the what was the language of the area.
It was aramaic. So like you said this is going to go out for people to read they're going to hear this. And i do believe that the reason why it was an aramaic by daniel recalling what took place is because he is addressing the nations from chapter 2 4 to 7 28 the the nations around.
Because when you get to when you get to eight. He's not a dread. He winds up. Daniel wanting the angel to elaborate on the vision. He gets in seven. And we'll talk about that. We got probably two more weeks before we get there.
Um but then i'll explain how that happened. So uh brian you'll.
And father i just ask that this pricks our hearts and as we move forward today that pastors keith words also prick our heart and that we may just come father and know you that's who you are that you are kind and compassionate to us as dad who showed you.
