So you talked about emotional sabotage. Let's talk about the second part of that.

Quote, emotional blackmail happens when a person equates his or her emotional pain with another person's failure to love. In essence, they're simply communicating because you don't love me or because you did something insulting, I am now experiencing emotional pain.

This is when a person sabotages a group through emotional manipulation.

Here's some other definitions that get at the point that you're trying to get at, okay, so like emotional abuse is the systemic destruction of a person's self -esteem and or sense of safety often occurring in relationships where there are differences in power and control, right?

So when you're saying emotional tyrant, you're basically talking about someone who is emotionally immature, who refuses to take responsibility for their emotions. And that made me think of a time.

They disengage, ridicule, or curb all negative emotions. They feel uncertain and fears feeling out of control, so they use distraction techniques. They feel that emotions are toxic or unhealthy. They use the passage of time as a cure -all replacement for problem solving.

They don't want to hear the truth potentially, or they don't like the way the truth is being communicated. But if I were to tip my hat, my tip my hand, and I were to start being emotional, either because I'm not controlling my emotions the way I should, and my emotions are being motivated by something negative, or sometimes, and yes, I'm going to admit that I've done this on purpose as a way to manipulate, which is a sin, and I've also done this on purpose as a way to test my theory, but in any of those situations, what's funny is that when I start making the same arguments, or sometimes worse arguments, but now I'm all emotional, what's interesting is that the other person will oftentimes respond differently.

Instead of relying on practical and biblical truth, we allow fear or anger to decide how we're going to respond to our family. And if Pixar is right about emotions at the helm of our decisions, we are in serious trouble.

You have a power that they want and they're going to use, they're going to use you by making you angry, pissed off and getting you all frustrated and sad and all these things. Look, there's nothing wrong with emotions, but you need to be careful.
